Kenny Gill |
Kenny's long and stellar career began with a love of the guitar at age seven. At age 13, he was playing the guitar as a regular on local radio programs in his home town of Bunkie, Louisiana. A legendary jazz guitarist, Kenny formed the Kenny Gill Quartet more than 25 years ago. His first album, "Guitar Moods of Kenny Gill" was recorded at the famous New Orleans recording studio, Cosimo Studios, in 1962. This album has recently been re-mastered and re-released and is entitled The Original Kenny Gill Trio. Quite a country picker as well, Kenny Gill has performed and toured with Governor Jimmy Davis since 1972. Jimmy says "His talents on guitar are very wide and varied, I highly recommend Kenny's abilities whether it be perfoming shows or recording sessions, he's a topnotch guitarist, Kenny can do it all." Kenny records and performs in Nashville frequently and has performed on the Grand Ole Opry. He is a world class guitarist whose style and technique is legendary among musicians. Kenny was recently honored for his many contributions to the world of music by being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. For more information on Kenny, visit his Web Site |
